Our little troublemaker!

In the middle of all the Christmas excitement Jacob hit 8 months old! I was convinced he would have been really crawling by now but instead he has just perfected his low crawl and is more than content getting around that way. He learned how to sit up from his belly and now he is even trying to pull up on furniture! he is able to stay standing if we help him up to hold onto something and he gets so proud of himself!
He really slowed down in the growing department thank goodness! For a while there I thought he was going to be the size of a 3 year old by the time he was 1!! He is still wearing some 12 month clothing but most of it is 18 months. He weighs 25lbs and is about 31" roughly. It is quite funny when we go out and strangers think he is older than he is because of his size and they try to get him to talk. He just looks at them like they are crazy!! He is babbling a bit more but still no real words - except he might have said the word "poop" a couple of times actually, but I don't want to count it as his first word! At least not before even just one "mama" or "dada"!

12/18/12 - 8 Months Old

Jacob's personality is really shining through. He is just like his sister and LOVES to make people laugh and he is such a troublemaker already! He knows how to procrastinate nap time and he can not be contained! We have a very open floor plan so it is hard to keep him in one area but he is like a baby MacGyver and gets around anything we put in his way with the biggest smile on his face!!! He is also such a cuddly/clingy baby!! RaeAnn was never as clingy as Jacob, so it's definitely new to me! He will follow me around the house and tug at my pants to pick him up and he already gets jealous if I am sitting with RaeAnn he will crawl over and wait for me to pick him up to!! It's cute! But even cuter is the kisses he loves to give!! Nothing's better than a giant drooley baby kiss!!!

I can't believe he is almost 9 months old!! It feels like he has been with us longer than that but at the same time I can't believe how fast he has grown!!! I love my baby boy so much!! Can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for him and our family :)
