Preschool Graduate!

RaeAnn graduated preschool!!!
I am going to miss her school so much! RaeAnn had wonderful teachers and made so many friends!! The school goes above and beyond for the kids with all the special activities and projects they do, RaeAnn learned so much and has really developed some important skills that will come in handy next year! I  hope we are still in the area when it is time for Jacob to start preschool (if we aren't where ever he does go will have some pretty high expectations to meet and we will be those parents that say things like "well at my oldest's preschool they did it this way " and "oh we would never had have to deal with that at RaeAnn's preschool" )

For graduation, the kids put on a great show with lots of silly songs before accepting their diplomas. There had been some doubt earlier in the week if RaeAnn would participate....Last year RaeAnn sang one song before bursting into tears and sitting with her teacher for the rest of the show, so during rehearsals last week she got a little nervous and refused to stand on stage with her class. On Wednesday Jacob and I went to her last rehearsal and showed her where we would be sitting, watched the show and then really talked up how great she did to help motivate her for the real show and it worked!!! Friday morning I gave her a little pep talk, took my seat, & prayed for the best!
Holding the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance
She made me so proud! Of course I cried and had the biggest smile on my face for the whole show! She was even choosen to hold the flag, since she is the only "military brat" in the school!! She was very proud of the honor and took it pretty seriously.
Her teachers were extra proud of her, they knew she could do it and they didn't want her to miss out on having fun with her classmates one last time. & now after all the praise and applause I don't think we will ever have a problem getting her up on stage again! (and if you know her in real life, you might find it pretty hard to believe that she was ever nervous in the first place!!!)

Now it's time for some Summer fun!! (if only the crappy weather would cooperate!!)
